Agissar AMS-10 is the most cost effective incoming mail sorter for sites with 10,000 to 30,000 envelopes per day and sites that want Electronic (digital) Mail Presentment.
The AMS-10 is the affordable sorter for sites that require intelligent reading capability for volumes that cannot justify other vendor solutions and it can also be used for outgoing sorting. This multi-pocket sorter cycles at 9,000 per hour when running 7” envelopes and 7,000 per hour when running 12” flats.
The Agissar AMS-10 is an automatic mail sorter that can interpret both recipient and sender (handwritten via LVE or typed) information and sort to your desired work streams or specific departments (via INC.Ware). The unique horizontal feeding design opens opportunities for greater printing and labeling options. This allows the incoming mail to be imaged and electronically tagged so that ultimately your imaged contents can be linked to the recipient.
- Runs anything from post cards (3.125” x 5.125” x 0.007” — 79mm x 130mm x 0.2mm) to flats (13” x 15” x 0.75” — 330mm x 381mm x 19mm)
- Camera type: Grayscale, 2048 Pixel Linear CCD w/ 8” (203mm) field-of-view
- Printer Fonts: 24 Windows Unicode fonts, 2of5, 3of9, Post Net & 2D Bar Codes

The AMS-10 is a perfect choice for sorting envelopes prior to extraction. With its standard features, it can use the following technologies to identify and sort your incoming envelopes into whatever profiles you decide will make your processing more efficient:
- Bar code reading for either Post Net or other codes that may identify the sender or type of sender responding back to you
- Front & Rear image cameras to capture and/or interpret data on the envelope
- Length and/or height detection
- High Resolution thickness detection for selecting complex versus easier work streams
- MICR pattern detection that can determine either presence or lack of check presence within the envelope
- Placing pre-printed audit labels onto envelopes, along with capturing an envelope’s panels, can ultimately tie extracted/prepped transactions back to their respective envelope and post-date
- Metal detection
